For those with Vista (in which case Image Converter.exe won't work) or if you just want to be different, you can use these two tools to do accomplish the same task:

1. You need your desired splash screen to be 240 pixels wide by 320 pixels high and in 24 bit bitmap (.bmp) format--MS Paint can do that for you, or any number of other programs.
2. Open up rsbbmp.exe and click the "Add Files" button. Locate your .bmp file and click "Open"
3. Click the "Convert All" button and you will see a new file in the directory with the .rsb extension.
4. Close rsbbmp.exe and open up Splash-RSB Converter.exe
5. VERY IMPORTANT! Choose QVGA (320x240) and then click the "Convert" button. Find the RSB file that you created in step 3 and click "Open".
6. You then need to type a name for the new .nb file that will be created (you can just give it the same name) and change to the "Bootsplash" directory in the root of the BuildOS folder. Then click "Save".
7. When the Done! screen comes up, click "OK".

That's it. Now when you run BuildOS your new bootsplash image should appear in the list for selection.

You can also use these tools to take a .nb file and convert to .rsb and then to .bmp for editing.
